0175% Wool / 25% Nylon Blend
Wool provides the smooth, fast surface quality that delivers consistent ball speed and roll. Nylon adds durability and resistance to pilling that pure wool cloths develop under sustained commercial-level play. The 75/25 blend is the industry standard ratio for this performance tier — more wool would be faster but less durable; more nylon would be more durable but slower and less consistent.
02Teflon Surface Treatment
Teflon treatment is applied to the fiber surface after weaving. The Teflon barrier causes liquid to bead rather than wick into the fiber, and prevents chalk dust from bonding to the weave. Both effects mean the cloth stays cleaner between cleanings and requires less maintenance to maintain consistent ball performance.
03Tight Weave Construction
Tight weave produces a flatter, more consistent playing surface than loose-weave cloth. At the microscopic level, tight weave reduces the surface variation that causes balls to deviate slightly from their predicted path — relevant to players who have developed shot accuracy on good-quality cloth and notice inconsistency immediately when playing on worn or low-quality surfaces.
04Pre-Cut Rail and Bed Cloth
Six rail cloths and one bed cloth are pre-cut to 7-ft table dimensions and marked for correct installation alignment. Pre-cut cloths eliminate the measurement and cutting steps that account for most DIY installation errors — wrong-sized cuts and skewed rail cloth alignment are the most common reasons felt replacements need to be redone.
05Burgundy Color
Deep wine red felt — one of five available colors for the 7-ft Saturn II series. Burgundy felt completely changes the visual identity of the table. Color-matched chalk is included so players are not forced to use a contrasting chalk color that shows visibly on the new cloth.
06Professional Installation Recommended
Felt installation requires stretching the cloth evenly across the slate or engineered wood surface, stapling or gluing the edges correctly, and trimming flush at pocket openings. Professional table technicians have the tools (staple gun, stretcher, iron) and practice to achieve the correct tension in 45–90 minutes. DIY installation is possible but mistakes are difficult to correct without restarting.
