Hathaway Air Hockey 3.75" Strikers and 2.87" Pucks - Red
Shipping & Delivery
Overview
The 3.75-inch striker diameter is the residential standard used in every Hathaway air hockey cabinet and most consumer tables sold in the U.S. Buying the wrong size is the single most common return reason in this category, because a 4-inch tournament striker will not seat flat on a residential rail.
This is a complete set of two 3.75-inch strikers and matching 2.87-inch pucks, molded from ABS plastic with felt-lined striker bases and finger-well grips. Drop-in compatible with the table type the size indicates; keep a second set on hand as a backup for tournaments or shared family play.
Construction
Take your air hockey table to the next level with this replacement striker and puck set. Ideal for completing your table or upgrading, this set is designed for air hockey tables or push hockey tables.
ABS plastic is very resistant to physical impacts making it the perfect material for hockey pucks and strikers. Enjoy an exciting game without worrying about chipping or cracking.
These pushers have deep finger wells to give you better hand control as you play.
Strikers feature smooth-gliding, felt-lined bottoms to prevent scratches and keep the action going.
Each striker measures 3.75-in in diameter; Each puck measures 2.875-in in diameter
Includes everything needed for two-player matches. Includes 2 strikers and 2 pucks Keep a backup set on hand — pucks are the most-lost piece in any game room.
Buyer's Guide
Air hockey strikers come in two scales and they are not interchangeable. Residential strikers measure 3 inches in diameter and pair with 2.5-inch pucks; tournament-grade USAA strikers measure 4 inches and pair with 3-inch pucks. The fastest way to identify what you need is to measure the striker that came with the table — if it measures three inches across the cap, order the residential set; four inches, order the pro set.
Replacement is also a worthwhile upgrade for tables that shipped with thin-walled factory accessories. Original strikers on budget tables typically crack at the rim within a year of regular play, and the felt bottoms wear through faster than the plastic itself. An ABS replacement set with fresh felt restores the original fast-glide action and protects the playfield from the bare plastic of a worn-out striker.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this set fit my air hockey table?
Measure the striker that came with your table. If the cap is 3 inches in diameter, this set is a direct replacement. Tournament-grade tables use 4-inch strikers and 3-inch pucks; for those see BG1005.
What is the difference between a 3-inch and a 4-inch striker?
Diameter and intended use. Three-inch strikers are sized for residential tables with home-grade blowers in the 80 to 120 watt range. Four-inch strikers are sized for USAA tournament play on commercial 8-foot tables with high-output blowers. The two sizes do not interchange.
Are these regulation pucks?
No. USAA regulation pucks measure 3 inches. The 2.5-inch puck is the residential standard, weighted to lift cleanly on home-grade blowers.
Will the felt bases scratch the playfield?
No. The adhered felt is the wear surface that protects laminated and acrylic playfields from plastic-on-plastic contact. Once the felt thins to bare plastic, replace the set.
Can I use this on a push-hockey table without an air blower?
Yes. Push-hockey tables use the same striker and puck dimensions as residential air hockey. The deep finger-well grip in this striker performs well on tables without airflow.
Does this set come with a warranty?
No. Strikers and pucks are consumable accessories not covered by warranty. Hathaway treats them as wear items.
