Overview

RAM Raid Colorz H Series 2-Piece 58" Pool Cue black with silver points.

The Colorz H Series is built around the R650 low-deflection shaft profile — Falcon's proprietary spec that reduces how far the cue ball wanders off the aim line when English is applied. On a regulation pool table, deflection is what separates a planned long-rail bank from a miss; lower deflection means the ball follows the stroke instead of the cue tip.

This cue runs the H Series pointed inlay design — black body with silver forearm points — on a hand-selected Canadian maple shaft. The pointed inlay is the visual signature of the H Series; the engineering underneath is the same low-deflection construction Falcon supplies to its broader RAID line. SKU RAIDCH-02.

Construction

A playing cue, not a wall cue.

01R650 Low-Deflection Shaft

Cue-ball deflection — squirt — is the single most common reason intermediate players miss shots they think they aimed correctly. The R650 profile reduces deflection by shifting the shaft's mass distribution toward the joint, lowering the cue's pivot point and forgiving small English errors.

02Selected Canadian Maple Shaft

Canadian hard rock maple is the industry default for serious cues because its straight, tight grain resists warp and gives a consistent hit. Hand selection removes blanks with knots, sapwood, or grain that runs off-axis.

03Silver on Black Pointed Inlay

The forearm carries the H Series signature — pointed inlays running up from the joint. This isn't a printed graphic; it's an inlaid design that survives chalking, sweat, and decades of handling without fading.

04Two-Piece Construction

The cue breaks down at the joint for transport and storage. A precision-threaded joint reassembles the same way every time, so the hit feels identical from session to session.

05Falcon Cues Build

Manufactured by Falcon Cues — a cue maker with decades in production billiards — and branded for RAM Game Room. The same R650 shaft technology runs across Falcon's professional lines.

06Standard 58" Length

58 inches is the BCA-regulation cue length used in nearly every league and tournament. Buying a regulation-length cue means it will fit any standard cue case and any standard rack.

Buyer's Guide

What separates a $100 cue from a $30 cue.

At the budget end of the market, pool cues are produced on automated lines using composite or low-grade hardwood shafts. The compromise shows up in two places: warp (the shaft drifts over time as humidity changes) and deflection (cheap shafts are mass-heavy at the tip, which causes the cue ball to skid off line).

The Colorz H Series runs hand-selected Canadian maple — the same species used by professional cue makers — with the R650 deflection profile addressing the second problem directly. The result is a cue that holds straight and shoots straight under conditions where a budget cue would already be giving up English shots.

The pointed inlay design isn't just visual. The H Series uses a forearm construction that lays the inlays into the wood rather than printing or painting them, which is structurally relevant — printed graphics indicate a cheaper finishing process, and that process usually correlates with looser tolerances elsewhere on the cue.

Falcon also offers the Colorz S Series, which uses the same R650 shaft and Canadian maple but in a solid color rather than pointed inlay. The choice between the H and S series is purely aesthetic; the playing characteristics are identical.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

What does R650 low deflection actually do?

It reduces how far the cue ball deflects off the aim line when sidespin is applied. With a high-deflection cue, applying a half-tip of right English will push the cue ball noticeably to the left of where you aimed. R650 minimizes that effect so cue ball travel matches stroke direction more closely.

Is this cue suitable for breaking?

The Colorz H Series is a playing cue, not a break cue. The standard tip is built for cue ball control on regular shots — using it for repeated hard breaks will shorten its lifespan. For breaking, the Falcon RAID Break Cue uses a phenolic tip and ferrule designed for that purpose.

What's the difference between the H Series and S Series?

H Series cues feature pointed inlay designs on the forearm. S Series cues are solid color throughout. Both lines use identical R650 shafts and Canadian maple construction — the choice is purely aesthetic.

What tip size is on the H Series?

The Colorz H Series uses Falcon's standard playing tip configuration. Tip diameter and material match Falcon's professional playing-cue specifications across the RAID family.

Does the cue come with a case?

No. The cue ships in protective packaging but a hard or soft cue case is sold separately. Any standard 2-piece 58" cue case will fit.

Will the inlay design fade or peel over time?

The pointed design is inlaid into the forearm rather than printed on the surface. With normal use — chalking, handling, light cleaning — the inlay will not fade, peel, or wear off the way a printed graphic would.
