RAM Raid Colorz S Series 2-Piece 58" Pool Cue solid black finish.

The S Series runs the same R650 low-deflection shaft as the inlaid H Series — the engineering doesn't change, only the cosmetic finish does. R650 shifts shaft mass toward the joint to lower the cue's pivot point, which reduces how much the cue ball deflects off the aim line when sidespin is applied. For intermediate and serious players, that's the difference between making a planned English shot and missing it by half an inch.

This cue is the black solid-finish option, built on a hand-selected Canadian maple shaft. The Colorz S Series is a clean, single-color treatment for players who prefer a stripped-down look over the pointed inlays of the H Series. SKU RAIDCS-02.

01R650 Low-Deflection Shaft

The R650 profile redistributes shaft mass so the cue's pivot point sits closer to the joint. Lower pivot point means the cue ball deflects less when English is applied — the visible result is shots that go where the stroke aimed instead of where the squirt pushed them.

02Selected Canadian Maple

Canadian hard rock maple is the species cue makers settle on because the grain is straight, tight, and consistent. Hand-selecting blanks removes wood with sapwood streaks, knots, or off-axis grain — flaws that cause warp.

03Solid Black Finish

The black treatment runs full-length on the forearm with no inlays or graphics interrupting the surface. Practical benefit: no inlay seams means nothing to catch on a cue case or develop a wear edge over time.

Should you pick the S Series or the H Series?

The two lines are mechanically identical. Same R650 shaft profile, same Canadian maple sourcing, same joint hardware, same 58" regulation length, same tip configuration. There is no performance difference between an S Series and H Series cue.

The choice is purely visual: H Series carries the pointed forearm inlays in contrasting colors; S Series runs a solid finish from the joint to the butt. Pick the look that fits how the cue will read on the wall rack or in the case.

Compared against budget cues at similar price points, the S Series advantages come from the R650 shaft and the maple sourcing — both of which are normally hidden under the marketing copy. A budget cue might list "maple shaft" without specifying species or selection grade; the Colorz S Series specifies Canadian hard rock maple with hand selection, which is the actual quality spec that determines whether the cue stays straight in five years.

Does the S Series play differently than the H Series?

No. The S Series and H Series use the same R650 shaft, the same Canadian maple, the same joint hardware, and the same tip. The only difference is cosmetic — H Series has pointed forearm inlays, S Series is a solid color.

What does R650 low deflection mean for my game?

When you apply sidespin to the cue ball, the cue ball naturally deflects (squirts) away from your aim line. R650 reduces that deflection by shifting shaft mass toward the joint, lowering the cue's pivot point. The cue ball follows the stroke direction more closely, so English shots land closer to where you aimed.

Can I use this cue to break?

The S Series is a playing cue, not a break cue. Repeated hard breaks will shorten the tip and ferrule's lifespan. Pair it with the Falcon RAID Break Cue, which uses a phenolic tip and ferrule built for impact.

Will the solid black finish wear off?

The finish is sealed under the cue's clear coat, not a surface paint. Normal handling, chalking, and cleaning won't wear the color off. Avoid solvent-based cleaners, which can damage the clear coat.

No — the cue ships in protective packaging. A standard 2-piece 58" cue case is sold separately and will fit any cue in the Colorz S Series.
