Pokémon by Stern Pinball Machine Stern's licensed Pokémon pinball — four habitats, Poké Ball mechanism, Team Rocket battles.

Pokémon by Stern Pinball is built in collaboration with The Pokémon Company International. Players step into the role of a Pokémon Trainer, exploring four distinct habitats, catching Pokémon, training their team, and battling rivals — including the menacing Team Rocket — in intense head-to-head encounters.

The signature playfield mechanism is an illuminated, mechanically animated Poké Ball that players shoot to catch Pokémon. Building the player's collection and completing the Pokédex drives mode progression. Powered by Stern's SPIKE 3 electronics platform — the latest generation in Stern's lineup.

01Pro and Premium Editions

The Pro is the standard production cabinet. The Premium adds upgraded mechanical Poké Ball features, additional under-playfield magnets, and premium cabinet armor. Both editions share rules and core gameplay.

02Mechanically Animated Poké Ball

The center playfield feature is an illuminated, mechanically animated Poké Ball that catches Pokémon when shot. The mechanism uses both lighting and motion to register catches and trigger mode transitions.

03Four Distinct Habitats

The cabinet's mode structure is built around four distinct habitats. Each habitat presents its own roster of Pokémon to catch and a unique progression toward the cabinet's wizard mode.

04Team Rocket Battle Encounters

Team Rocket serves as the title's antagonist faction. Battle encounters with Team Rocket gate progression through the late-game modes and serve as the cabinet's primary scoring multiplier opportunity.

05Pokémon Trainer Roleplay Mechanic

Players' progression is framed as building a Trainer journey rather than running rounds. Catching, training, and completing the Pokédex drive the title's mode tree — a deeper roleplay structure than typical pinball mode progression.

06SPIKE 3 + Insider Connected

Powered by Stern's SPIKE 3 platform — the latest generation in Stern's electronics lineup. Insider Connected is included for global leaderboards, operator analytics, and network firmware updates.

Limited Edition (LE) cabinets are produced in numbered runs and are not always available at retail. For operators or collectors who specifically need an LE, contact Game Room Empire for current allocation — LE pricing is not listed on this page.

Stern Insider Connected is included on all current Stern production. Operators running multiple Stern titles can manage all cabinets through a single operator portal — meaningful for routes and FECs running multi-title programs.
