Hathaway 8-ft Billiard Table Cover unfitted, moisture-resistant polyester, 96 x 48-in, black.

This is an unfitted polyester dust cover for 8-ft pool tables, sized at 96 in L x 48 in W. Unfitted means the cover drapes over the table and hangs down on all sides without elastic edges or tailoring to a specific cabinet profile — it fits any 8-ft table regardless of rail width, pocket style, or cabinet depth. Material is moisture-resistant polyester at 1.5 lb. Ships small parcel at 1.43 lb. No warranty.

01Moisture-Resistant Polyester

Polyester resists the moisture from spills that can soak through to the felt if a drink is knocked onto a cover during a game room session. Moisture-resistant surface allows light liquid contact to be blotted off the cover exterior rather than wicking through to the playing surface.

02Unfitted Drape Design

Unfitted covers have no elastic edges or cabinet-specific tailoring. The cover lays flat over the playing surface and hangs down over the rails. Universal fit — works on any 8-ft pool table regardless of manufacturer, rail width, or pocket configuration.

Cover dimensions are 96 in x 48 in — sized to cover the full playing surface plus rail width of a standard 8-ft table. The drape overhang protects rail felt from dust and the playing surface from airborne debris between sessions.

04Easy to Clean

Polyester cover wipes clean with a damp cloth. Unlike felt or fabric covers, the smooth polyester surface does not trap chalk dust in its weave — surface debris is removed with a single wipe.

Black polyester cover coordinates with any pool table finish and is available to match a protective cover to black-finish tables (Hustler, Jupiter, Maverick series) without a separate color selection.

Buyer's Guide

Unfitted versus fitted pool table covers when universal fit is the right choice.

Fitted pool table covers (like BG50344 and BG50343) are tailored to a specific table length and width and include a drop panel that wraps around the cabinet edges. Fitted covers stay in position, protect the cabinet sides, and look more finished when the cover is on. Unfitted covers lay flat over the playing surface and drape over the edges without attaching — they can shift if bumped and do not protect cabinet sides, but they fit any table without measuring and cost less.

The unfitted BG2541 is the right choice when: you are not sure of the exact external cabinet dimensions of your 8-ft table, the cover is only placed between sessions (not left on long-term), or you want the lowest-cost dust protection option. For permanent cover use or a finished look matching the cabinet, the fitted BG50344 (brown synthetic leather) is the better specification. Both cover the same playing surface area; the difference is entirely in edge protection and how the cover sits on the table.
