Hathaway Regent 28-in Corner Floor Billiard Cue Rack - Black Finish
Shipping & Delivery
Overview
The Regent is a corner-placement floor cue rack designed to fit in a right-angle room corner — the most space-efficient cue storage position in any game room. Cabinet is poplar wood, veneer, and MDF in a black finish at 16 in L x 16 in W x 28 in H. The 16-in square footprint fits into a standard 90-degree corner without projecting into the cue clearance zone. Holds up to 10 pool cues. Ships small parcel at 22 lb.
Assembly approximately 30 minutes. Does not include pool cues. 180-day limited warranty. Rated for ages 4 and up.
Construction
The 16 in x 16 in square base is specifically proportioned for corner placement — the diagonal of the square fits exactly into a standard 90-degree corner, with both faces of the rack flush against the two walls. This eliminates the floor area waste of a round rack placed in a corner, where the round perimeter leaves a triangular dead space behind the rack.
Cabinet body is poplar wood and veneer — solid structural members with veneer facing. This combination provides the visual grain quality of solid wood at a lower weight than all-solid construction. MDF component elements are used where dimensional stability is more important than appearance.
Black finish applied over the veneer and poplar surfaces. The black tone is available to match pool tables and game room furniture in the same finish family.
Holds up to 10 pool cues — 2 more than the Classic 28-in rack (8 cues). The extra capacity is relevant for game rooms with 4-player billiards configurations where each player has a personal cue plus spare.
At 28 in tall, the cue slots position the cue tips at approximately 56–57 in from the floor when cues are resting in the rack — keeping tip ends out of reach of young children while remaining accessible to adults.
The 16 in x 16 in base is the smallest footprint of any cue rack in Hathaway's lineup. In a game room where every square foot of floor space within cue clearance distance of the table is occupied, corner placement is the only option that does not compromise cue swing area.
Buyer's Guide
The Classic 28-in (BG2567M and BG2567-BK) and Regent Corner (BG2569-BK and BG2569M) are both freestanding floor cue racks for game rooms. The Classic uses a round 29-in ring design that is best positioned alongside a pool table against an open wall. The Regent uses a square 16-in footprint optimized for corner placement — the tightest possible floor position relative to the pool table. If your game room has open wall space adjacent to the table, the Classic is the right choice. If all open floor space is within the cue clearance zone and only the corner is free, the Regent fits where the Classic does not.
The Regent holds 10 cues versus the Classic's 8 — relevant if the household has more than 4 players who each maintain personal cues. At 22 lb shipping weight, the Regent is slightly heavier than the Classic due to its larger base construction. Both ship small parcel; no freight scheduling required for either.
