Hathaway Augusta 8-ft Pool Table walnut finish, camel felt, 1-in playfield, ball-and-claw legs.

The Augusta Walnut is the same table construction as the Augusta Mahogany (BG2527) — maple veneer cabinet, 1-in thick playfield, K-55 cushions, steel gusset framing, and ball-and-claw leg detail — in a walnut finish with camel felt. The walnut-and-camel combination is a warmer, contemporary palette suited to rooms with natural wood floors and neutral wall colors. Cabinet dimensions are 100.5 in L x 55 in W x 32.5 in H at 352.5 lb.

Playing surface is 88 in L x 44 in W. Construction includes 4-in finger-jointed support beams, steel gussets, and truss braces. Full accessory kit included. 180-day limited warranty. Rated for ages 8 and up. Ships LTL in a single 445 lb carton. Assembly approximately 75 minutes; two-person recommended.

011-in Thick Playfield

The 88 in x 44 in surface is 1 in thick engineered wood. At this depth, the field resists seasonal warping and provides consistent ball rebound across the full surface area.

024-in Finger-Jointed Support Beams

Finger-jointed 4-in beams run beneath the playfield longitudinally. The mechanical interlock of the finger joint before adhesive application produces a stronger bond than butt-joined or single-piece beams at this cabinet span.

03Steel Gusset and Truss Brace Frame

Steel gussets at leg joints and truss braces across the cabinet frame resist racking under break-shot forces. The impact-resistant anchoring system locks legs to cabinet — preventing the leg drift that develops over time on tables with friction-only leg attachment.

04K-55 Rubber Cushions

K-55 profile cushions deliver consistent rebound angle across the rail face. Rebound predictability is the functional standard for residential billiard tables — K-55 meets it at a price point below premium-grade cushion profiles used in tournament-spec tables.

05Walnut Finish with Camel Felt

Multi-step walnut finish over maple veneer produces a warm brown tone with visible grain depth. Camel felt — a warm tan/gold — coordinates with the walnut cabinet and works well with room palettes built around wood, leather, and earth tones.

06Ball-and-Claw Leg Detail with Levelers

Augusta Mahogany versus Augusta Walnut same table, different finish palette.

The Augusta Walnut (BG2670) and Augusta Mahogany (BG2527) share identical construction: same cabinet, same playfield, same cushion spec, same accessory kit, same warranty. The only differences are cabinet finish and felt color. Mahogany finish with red felt is the traditional billiard room combination — dark reddish-brown cabinet, classic red playing surface — suited to traditional or vintage game room aesthetics. Walnut finish with camel felt is a contemporary combination — warmer brown cabinet, neutral felt — that coordinates better with modern furnishings and natural wood floors.

Both tables require identical room clearance (168 in x 132 in minimum) and ship identically at LTL freight. If the table is intended for a room that also functions as a living space or home office, the walnut-camel combination tends to recede more naturally into a neutral décor scheme. If the table is in a dedicated game room where the traditional billiard aesthetic is the design intent, mahogany-red is the canonical choice.
