The Magnum is a standalone 15.5-in electronic dartboard that runs on either AC power or 4 AA batteries — making it the only model in Hathaway's dartboard lineup that works in rooms without a nearby outlet. Board dimensions are 22.75 in H x 20.5 in W x 1.125 in D at under 7 lb assembled. 20 games with over 90 variations for up to 8 players. Electronic scoring tracks all players automatically with voice and sound feedback.

Ships small parcel in a single 8 lb carton. No assembly required — board mounts to wall on arrival. Includes 6 soft-tip darts and AC adapter. Batteries not included. 180-day limited warranty. Rated for ages 10 and up.

The board accepts both the included AC adapter and 4 AA batteries (not included). Battery operation makes it functional in garages, finished attics, and outdoor covered areas where running an extension cord is impractical. AC operation is recommended for permanent installations to avoid battery replacement during play.

The 15.5-in regulation-diameter target surface tracks scoring electronically for up to 8 players. 20 game types with over 90 variations includes standard 01 games (301, 501, 701), Cricket, Count-Up, and assorted skill games — sufficient variety for a dedicated game room with regular players.

Built-in voice and sound system announces scores and calls out notable throws. This removes the need for manual scorekeeping and keeps all players focused on the game rather than tracking numbers on a chalkboard.

04Under 7 lb — Lightweight and Portable

At under 7 lb, the Magnum can be uninstalled from a wall mount, carried to another location, and re-hung in under 10 minutes. This makes it suitable for rooms that serve multiple purposes where the dartboard is not a permanent fixture.

Target surface is resin and plastic — the standard construction for electronic dartboards, which use soft-tip darts that register contact with the target segments electronically rather than penetrating a fiber surface.

No assembly required. The board arrives ready to hang. Mount hardware is pre-installed on the board back; hang on a standard wall anchor at the regulation 5 ft 8 in bullseye height.

Buyer's Guide

Electronic dartboards without cabinets when a standalone board makes more sense.

A cabinet-style dartboard installation occupies 20–25 in of wall width and requires a wall section large enough to accommodate both the cabinet and 3 ft of clear throw space in front. A standalone electronic board requires only the 20.5 in width of the board itself and the same throw clearance. For smaller game rooms, apartments, or multi-purpose rooms where wall real estate is limited, the standalone format is the practical choice over a cabinet set.

The battery operation option on the Magnum is the specification that distinguishes it within the electronic board category. All other Hathaway electronic dartboard products require AC power. If the intended installation location does not have an outlet within 6 ft of the mounting position — common in garages and finished attics — the Magnum is the only model in the lineup that works without an extension cord. The 4 AA battery runtime varies by play frequency; expect 20–30 hours of active play per set of alkaline batteries.
