The Metropolitan is the only foosball table in Hathaway's residential lineup with a curved-profile cabinet rather than a standard rectangular box. Smooth contoured sides and an arched pedestal base differentiate it visually from all other models. At 90 lb assembled, the cabinet has enough mass for stable play. The playfield is 1.125 in thick — the thickest surface in the entire Hathaway foosball lineup at this price point.

Cabinet is MDF in a cherry wood finish. Dimensions are 54 in L x 29 in W x 34 in H. Chrome-plated, hollow steel rods with E-Z Spin bearings. Counter-balanced ABS players, ABS ergonomic handles. Vintage-style analog scoring units. Ships small parcel in a single 108 lb carton. Assembly approximately 90 minutes. Includes 2 foosballs (36 mm). 180-day limited warranty. Rated for ages 3 and up.

01Curved Cabinet Profile

The cabinet sides follow a smooth curved contour rather than the right-angle profile standard across foosball tables. This is a structural choice as well as a visual one: curved MDF panels distribute lateral impact loads along the curve rather than concentrating stress at right-angle corner joints.

021.125-in Playfield Thickness

The playing surface is 1.125 in thick — three times the 0.375 in surface on the Driftwood flagship and six times the 0.1875 in standard on mid-range tables. At this thickness, the surface has zero detectable flex under any residential play loading scenario.

03Arched Pedestal Base

An arched pedestal base structure supports the cabinet from below, distributing the 90 lb cabinet weight across a wider floor contact area than post-leg designs. This base geometry also eliminates the standard leg hardware visible on conventional foosball tables.

04E-Z Spin Bearings

Chrome-plated, hollow steel rods run through E-Z Spin bearings at each cabinet rail entry point. The bearing system provides consistent low-friction rod travel regardless of the play intensity or session duration.

05Cherry Wood Finish

Cabinet is cherry wood finish — a warm, traditional palette. The vintage-style analog scoring units match this aesthetic rather than using the contemporary silver-toned hardware on other models in the lineup.

06Counter-Balanced ABS Players

Counter-balanced ABS players on each rod. Integrated leg levelers ensure the 1.125 in playfield is calibrated to a true level surface — the thicker playfield amplifies any off-level tilt that a thinner surface would partially absorb.
