RAM Game Room Bootlegger-56" 3Lt Billiard Light
Shipping & Delivery
Overview
The Bootlegger is the larger version of RAM's Prohibition Series pendant lighting — three Art Deco metal shades on a 56-inch span, designed as the central lighting piece for the Prohibition Series cocktail bars, back bars, and poker tables. The matte black exterior of the shades reverses to a warm orange-gold interior, which catches and reflects bulb light into the room as a warm glow rather than a flat black silhouette.
56 inches long, three metal shades with adjustable extension rods (6 to 42 inches), 7.5 lbs total. Matte black frame with matte black metal shades — the warm interior surface only reveals itself when the lights are on. Part of the broader Prohibition Series, this fixture is the visual anchor for a room built around RAM's speakeasy-era furniture line.
Construction
Metal shades shaped to the linear, restrained geometry of 1930s Art Deco lighting — restrained silhouettes, no decorative excess. The exteriors are matte black, the interiors are warm orange-gold.
The reverse side of each shade is finished in warm orange-gold. When the bulbs are off, the fixture reads as restrained matte black. When lit, the interior surface catches and reflects bulb light, producing a warm glow that signals the speakeasy aesthetic.
Each shade drops from the bar on adjustable extension rods ranging 6 to 42 inches. Different drop heights produce different visual effects — uniform low drops for traditional installation, staggered drops for visual rhythm.
The horizontal bar runs matte black across the 56-inch span. The dark frame anchors the three pendant drops and creates the visual signature of the Prohibition lighting series.
Total fixture weight is 7.5 lbs — light enough for standard ceiling installation without specialized junction boxes. Most billiard lights run 20-40 lbs; the Bootlegger's lighter construction speeds up installation.
Designed to coordinate visually with the Prohibition cocktail bar (PROBAR84, PROBAR60), back bar (PROBACBAR), poker tables (PRO84TXTBL, PRO60TBL), and Prohibition LED table lamps (PROTL-2, PROTL-4). The shared matte-black-and-brass-tone palette ties the whole room together.
Buyer's Guide
RAM's Prohibition Series isn't a single product — it's a coordinated collection of bars, back bars, poker tables, chairs, barstools, and lighting designed to be installed together. Pieces share the matte black + warm brass/walnut palette and the Art Deco silhouette language.
The Bootlegger lighting is the ceiling-level signature piece. Installing it alone reads as a single Art Deco fixture in an otherwise unrelated room. Installing it as part of the broader collection turns the room into a coherent speakeasy installation.
The warm-interior shade reveal is a small but specific design detail. Plain matte black fixtures stay matte black when the lights come on. The Bootlegger's interior surface means lighting transforms the fixture's visual character — useful for evening entertaining when the room shifts from prep mode to ambiance mode.
Adjustable shade drops let the fixture work in rooms with non-standard ceilings — vaulted spaces, slanted basement ceilings, or unusual room geometries. Standard fixed-drop pendants don't have this flexibility.

FAQ
What is the Prohibition Series?
A coordinated game room collection from RAM Game Room — cocktail bars, back bars, poker tables, barstools, chairs, table lamps, and pendant lighting all sharing a matte-black-and-brass-tone Art Deco aesthetic inspired by 1930s speakeasies.
Can the Bootlegger be installed without other Prohibition pieces?
Yes. As a standalone billiard pendant it functions on its own, but the visual impact is strongest in a room that also includes the matching Prohibition cocktail bar, back bar, or poker table. The fixture is designed as part of a coordinated room.
What does the warm orange-gold interior do?
When the lights are on, the interior surface of each matte black shade catches and reflects the bulb's light, casting a warm glow into the room. When the lights are off, the fixture reads as understated matte black.
How does the adjustable drop work?
Each shade hangs from the horizontal bar on an extension rod that adjusts from 6 inches to 42 inches. You can set all three to the same length for a uniform look, or stagger the drops for visual rhythm.
Are bulbs included?
No. The fixture accepts standard Edison-base bulbs. Warm-white LED bulbs (around 2700K) deepen the warm-interior glow effect.
What size pool table fits the Bootlegger?
56 inches is sized for 8-foot home pool tables. It also works as a feature pendant over a poker table at the right hanging height.
