RAM Game Room 50" Tiffany Billiard Light
Shipping & Delivery
Overview
The defining spec on this fixture is the piece count — over 1,000 individual pieces of stained glass cut, fit, and soldered into a single 50-inch billiard shade. Tiffany-style construction uses copper foil between each glass piece (rather than the lead came used in church windows), which allows finer detail and tighter tolerances. The result is a heirloom-grade fixture, not a production decoration.
50 inches long, 13 inches tall, 44.5 lbs. Real soldered stained glass with copper foil construction. 100W max per socket. 3-foot chain suspension per side. Ships LTL freight due to weight and fragility. The fixture is intended as a permanent installation, not a casual decorating choice — it's the room's anchor lighting piece.
Construction
Each piece of glass is cut individually, fit to the pattern, edged with copper foil, and soldered to its neighbors. This is the Tiffany construction method — finer detail than lead-came stained glass, more durable than printed-glass shade construction.
Copper foil construction is the Tiffany-Studios technique. Each glass piece is wrapped in adhesive-backed copper foil at its edges, then assembled and soldered together. Result: finer line work, tighter tolerances, and a more sculptural three-dimensional shade than lead-came construction.
The pattern follows traditional Tiffany-style billiard light design language — warm color palette in soft amber, gold, and earth tones that flatter wood-stained game rooms and produce a warm light wash on the playing surface.
Stained glass at this piece count cannot be machine produced. Each fixture is built by hand from cutting through final soldering, which is why the weight is 44.5 lbs and the LTL freight shipping method is required.
Conservative bulb rating preserves the stained glass shades from heat damage over decades of use. LED bulbs are recommended both for energy efficiency and to keep the shades cool.
Three feet of chain per side support the BCA-recommended mounting distance of 30 to 36 inches above the playing surface in standard 8-foot ceiling rooms.
Buyer's Guide
Stained glass billiard fixtures range across a wide quality spectrum. At the bottom: printed-glass shades with surface decoration that fades over years. In the middle: lead-came stained glass with maybe 50-100 pieces per shade and visible solder lines. At the top: Tiffany-style copper foil construction with 1,000+ pieces per shade.
The 50" Tiffany sits at the top of that spectrum. The piece count, the copper foil method, and the hand-built production are heirloom-grade specs. The fixture is intended as a permanent installation and an investment piece, not a casual decorating choice.
Tiffany-style fixtures pair best with traditional wood-paneled or warm-toned game rooms. The warm color palette and decorative density of the shade need a room palette that supports them — in stark white modern rooms, the fixture will read as visually heavy and period-locked.
Because the fixture ships LTL freight due to its weight and fragility, schedule installation around the freight delivery and unpack carefully. The shade is the most fragile component and requires a two-person lift during ceiling mounting.

FAQ
What makes a Tiffany-style lamp different from regular stained glass?
Tiffany-style uses copper foil between glass pieces instead of lead came. Copper foil enables finer detail, smaller piece sizes, and a more sculptural three-dimensional shade. Tiffany Studios developed the technique in the late 1800s — modern copper foil fixtures follow the same construction method.
How many individual pieces of glass are in this fixture?
Over 1,000 individual pieces of glass, cut and assembled into the pattern by hand. Each piece is edged with copper foil and soldered to its neighbors.
Why does it ship by LTL freight?
Two reasons: weight (44.5 lbs) and fragility. Stained glass shades cannot tolerate the handling that small-parcel ground shipping inflicts. LTL freight uses a single carrier handoff and a delivery appointment, which protects the fixture during transit.
What size table does the 50-inch Tiffany fit?
50 inches is sized for 7-foot bar tables and 8-foot home pool tables. For 9-foot regulation tables, the proportions are slightly undersized — a 60-inch or larger Tiffany would be the better match.
Will the colors fade over time?
No. Stained glass color is part of the glass itself, mixed in during manufacture. The color is permanent — unlike printed-glass shades, which can fade under prolonged light exposure.
Are bulbs included?
No. The fixture accepts standard Edison-base bulbs up to 100W per socket. Warm-white LEDs are recommended to complement the warm color palette of the stained glass.
