RAM Game Room Dining/Game Chair
Shipping & Delivery
Overview
The GCHR3 is the armless companion seat to RAM's poker and game tables — and the practical compromise when the game table doubles as a dining table. Without arms, the chair slides under the table when not in use, saving floor footprint in tight game rooms and converted dining spaces.
37 inches tall, 18 inches wide, 20 inches deep. Solid wood frame with padded vinyl seat and back cushion. Built-in carpet sliders on the feet for smooth movement across carpet without snagging. Available in six finishes — Antique White (AW), Chestnut (CN), Black (BLK), Cappuccino (CAP), English Tudor (ET), and Slate (SL) — to match the rest of the RAM game-table line.
Construction
Solid wood across the frame — not laminate over particleboard, not bent steel. Solid wood handles the cumulative stress of being pushed in and pulled out daily, the weight load of adult use, and the impact of repositioning across decades.
Vinyl over foam cushioning on both the seat and the back. Vinyl is the practical material for game-room seating — durable, cleanable with a damp cloth, and resistant to spills (cocktails, beer, dropped chips and snacks). Fabric upholstery degrades faster in this environment.
Without arms, the chair pushes fully under the table when not in use. Important in finished dining-room conversions and tight game rooms where the table is the primary furniture and chair footprint needs to disappear between sessions.
Carpet sliders on the chair feet allow smooth movement across carpet without snagging or wearing the carpet pile. Particularly relevant in finished basements with carpeted floors — standard chair feet drag and wear the carpet under repeated use.
Standard dining-table chair height pairs correctly with the GTBL84, GTBL60, and GTBL48 game tables when used as dining tables. The seat height places the rail at proper armrest level for both poker play and dining use.
Six finish options matching the RAM game-table line. Order chairs in the same finish as the table base for visual continuity — mismatched chair-and-table finishes read as accidental rather than designed.
Buyer's Guide
Game-table seating decisions break into two paths: armless dining chairs (like the GCHR3) and arm chairs/swivel chairs (like the GCHR2). The choice affects how the chairs interact with the table and the room.
Armless chairs slide fully under the table, save floor footprint, and work better in rooms where the table doubles as a dining surface. Arm chairs feel more comfortable during long poker sessions but stay visible at the table even when not in use, which can crowd a tight room.
Match the chair finish to the table finish. Cross-finish combinations are technically possible but read as mismatched. Order chairs and table together in the same finish to ensure the room reads as a designed set rather than a collection of separate pieces.
Carpet sliders are the small detail that matters in finished basement game rooms. Standard chair feet drag on carpet, leaving visible wear lines after a few months of regular use. Sliders prevent that wear and make chair movement quieter.

FAQ
Why armless?
An armless chair slides fully under the game table when not in use, saving floor footprint. Arm chairs stay visible at the table even when empty, which crowds tight rooms and rooms where the table doubles as a dining table.
Does the chair work for adult-sized players?
Yes. Standard dining-chair height (37 inches overall) with adult-appropriate seat depth (20 inches) and seat width (18 inches). Comfortable for adult-sized use during long sessions.
What's the seat cushioning made of?
Foam padding wrapped in vinyl. Vinyl is the durable choice for game-room seating — handles spills, wipes clean, and doesn't develop the wear patterns that fabric upholstery shows after a few seasons of regular use.
Will the chair scratch hardwood floors?
The built-in carpet sliders are designed for carpet but also work on hardwood without scratching. For maximum hardwood protection, replacement felt floor pads can be added over the sliders.
How does this differ from the Swivel Game Chair?
The GCHR3 is armless and fixed (non-swivel) — designed for dining/game use and easy under-table storage. The GCHR2 is a swivel chair with arms and adjustable seat height — built for dedicated poker-room use during long sessions.
Does it come assembled?
Some assembly required — typically the legs bolt to the seat frame with included hardware. Assembly takes under 20 minutes per chair with basic tools.
