Hathaway Cheyenne 12-ft Shuffleboard Table - Rustic Oak Finish
Shipping & Delivery
Overview
The Cheyenne is Hathaway's solid wood and veneer 12-ft shuffleboard table in a rustic oak finish. The playing surface is an 11-ft field (approximately 132 in) at 15 in wide, built from furniture-grade hardwood with hardwood veneer panels and a multi-step furniture finish. Three pro-style climate adjusters — versus the standard two on most tables — allow more precise bow compensation across the longer 12-ft surface. Cabinet dimensions are 145 in L x 24.625 in W x 31 in H at 306 lb.
Carpeted gutters with EVA foam end bumpers. Ships LTL as a single 328 lb carton. Assembly approximately 90 minutes; two-person required. Includes 4 blue pucks, 4 red pucks, table brush, and wax. 180-day limited warranty.
Construction
Cabinet is furniture-grade hardwood and hardwood veneer — the same construction method used in quality residential furniture. The multi-step furniture finish applied over the hardwood veneer produces grain depth that laminate-over-MDF construction cannot replicate.
Three climate adjusters span the 12-ft table length — one at each end and one at center. Standard 9-ft and 12-ft tables typically use two adjusters. The center adjuster specifically addresses the mid-table bow that develops on longer surfaces and is difficult to correct with only two end adjusters.
Multi-step rustic oak finish over hardwood veneer — a warm, naturally-textured palette that reads as reclaimed or aged wood rather than standard furniture finish. The rustic oak coordinates with driftwood, natural wood, and farmhouse-style game room aesthetics.
Each end of the table has EVA foam bumpers — an impact-absorbing material that protects pucks from hard-surface contact when they reach the scoring zone end line. EVA foam bumpers are a construction detail that extends puck life compared to hard wood or plastic end stops.
Side gutters are carpeted to reduce play noise and protect puck edges. At 12 ft, pucks that overshoot scoring zones travel at higher speeds than on shorter tables — carpeted gutters absorb more impact energy than bare wood or laminate gutter surfaces.
Despite the 12-ft cabinet length, the Cheyenne ships as a single 328 lb carton — simpler freight coordination than the two-box configurations of comparable 12-ft tables. A single delivery piece means one receiving handling step at the installation location.
Buyer's Guide
The Cheyenne ($2,195.99) and the 12-ft Merlot ($1,999.99) are the closest comparisons in Hathaway's 12-ft shuffleboard lineup. The Cheyenne uses solid hardwood and hardwood veneer construction with a rustic oak multi-step furniture finish; the Merlot uses birchwood veneer. The Cheyenne includes three climate adjusters (versus two on the Merlot) and EVA foam end bumpers. At $196 more, the Cheyenne is the appropriate choice when solid wood construction and three-point climate adjustment are the priority.
Room requirement: the 145-in cabinet (12.1 ft) needs approximately 16.1 ft of floor length with 2 ft of clearance at each end. Width requirement: 3 ft on each side of the 24.625-in cabinet for comfortable player clearance brings the recommended room width to approximately 8 ft. At 306 lb, two people are required for the 90-minute assembly. Single-box LTL freight is more straightforward to receive than a two-box delivery at the same cabinet length.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why three climate adjusters instead of two?
The center adjuster specifically addresses mid-table bow that two end adjusters cannot reach on a 12-ft surface. It allows more precise bow correction across the full playing length.
What are EVA foam end bumpers?
Impact-absorbing foam bumpers at the scoring zone end lines. They protect pucks from hard-surface contact and reduce impact noise when pucks reach the end of the board.
Does this ship by freight or parcel?
LTL freight — single box, 328 lb. Requires a receiving signature and ground-level access.
What room length is required?
The table is 145 in (12.1 ft). With 2 ft of clearance at each end, approximately 16.1 ft minimum.
What is the warranty term?
180-day limited warranty covering defects in workmanship and materials under normal residential use.
How does this compare to the Merlot 12-ft?
Solid hardwood and veneer construction versus birchwood veneer. Three climate adjusters versus two. EVA foam bumpers. $196 more at MSRP.
