Leg panels form an X-pattern at floor level with a 2-in diameter center support bar connecting the two X structures along the table length. This geometry distributes lateral loads diagonally across all four floor contact points simultaneously — the same X-pattern structural principle used in the Excalibur pool table and foosball table frames.
02Driftwood Melamine Cabinet
MDF cabinet with driftwood melamine coating — the gray-brown weathered wood texture that coordinates with the Excalibur pool table, Excalibur foosball table, and the full Hathaway farmhouse game room collection. The driftwood finish is applied consistently across the leg panels, top rails, and end aprons.
0396 in x 14 in Poly-Coated Playing Surface
The 96-in playing surface is 14 in wide — narrower than the Challenger's 15 in and the Avenger's 20 in. The narrower width produces tighter scoring zone geometry and rewards more precise puck placement than wider surfaces. Poly-coated MDF provides a consistent glide surface at a lower construction cost than butcher block alternatives.
04Climate Adjusters
Integrated climate adjusters compensate for MDF surface bow under humidity changes. MDF is more sensitive to humidity than solid wood — the climate adjusters are a necessary feature on any MDF-surface shuffleboard table installed in a basement or unconditioned space.
05Single-Box LTL Delivery
At 260 lb in a single carton, the Excalibur ships as one LTL piece. Single-box delivery is easier to coordinate and receive than the two-box configurations on comparable-length tables.
06Leg Levelers
Adjustable leg levelers on each X-pattern base. At 202.4 lb, the table is effectively a permanent installation once assembled and leveled.
