Overview

Laredo 54" 3-Shade Billiard Light stained glass shades on a rustic iron bar.

The Laredo's defining spec is the rustic iron finish on the metal bar — a chemically aged iron treatment that reads as hand-forged rather than factory-finished. Combined with three real stained glass shades in warm color tones, the fixture lands closer to a furniture-grade craftsman piece than a typical production billiard pendant. Stained glass shades hold their color permanently and produce dimensional warmth that no painted or frosted glass can reproduce.

54 inches long, 19 inches tall, 37.5 lbs. Three pendant lights at 100W max per socket. 3-foot chain suspension per side. Sized for 7-foot bar tables and 8-foot home pool tables. The rustic iron framework anchors the warm stained glass colors with the kind of dark, hand-aged metalwork that pairs naturally with traditional wood-stained game room interiors.

Construction

Stained glass over a rustic iron bar.

01Three Stained Glass Shades

Each of the three shades is real stained glass — colored glass cut and assembled into the pattern, not painted on plain glass. Real stained glass holds color across decades; painted-glass shades fade and discolor under prolonged light exposure.

02Warm Color Palette

The shades carry rich, warm color tones that flatter wood-stained game rooms and produce a comfortable light wash on the playing surface. The warm palette pairs naturally with chestnut, English tudor, and walnut wood finishes elsewhere in the room.

03Rustic Iron Metal Bar

Rustic iron is a chemically aged finish, not a powder coat or paint. The treatment darkens and textures the metal to read as hand-forged rather than factory-finished. Handling marks and small scratches blend into the patina rather than showing as bright damage.

04Linear 3-Shade Distribution

Three shades distributed evenly across the 54-inch bar cover the central playing surface of a 7- or 8-foot table with overlapping light cones. Single-pendant fixtures leave hard shadow zones at the rail ends; three-shade linear fixtures eliminate that.

05100W Maximum Per Socket

Conservative wattage rating per socket protects the stained glass from cumulative heat damage over decades. LED bulbs at warm white (around 2700K) hit the same lumen output at a fraction of the wattage and run substantially cooler.

063-Foot Chain Suspension

Three feet of chain on each side support the BCA-recommended 30 to 36 inch mounting distance above the playing surface in rooms with standard 8-foot ceilings. Taller ceilings require longer chain runs (sold separately at most lighting suppliers).

Buyer's Guide

Why rustic iron pairs with stained glass.

Stained glass billiard fixtures usually run one of two bar finishes — matte black (high contrast, anchors the shade colors as the visual focal point) or warm metal (creates color harmony with the warm shade tones). The Laredo's rustic iron finish lands in the warm-metal category, but with an aged, textured treatment that reads as more hand-crafted than polished antique bronze or rubbed brass.

The practical result is a fixture that feels heritage-grade rather than mass-production. Rooms with traditional wood finishes, leather seating, or other hand-finished metalwork pair naturally with the rustic iron treatment; cooler modern rooms with stainless and chrome hardware will read the fixture as deliberately period-styled.

The 54-inch span is the practical default for 7-foot bar tables and 8-foot home pool tables. On those table sizes, the three-shade distribution covers the playing surface evenly without leaving the rail ends in shadow. For 9-foot regulation tournament tables, a 78-inch four-shade fixture is the proportional fit.

Stained glass shades color the downward light wash on the playing surface — atmospheric but trades off some shot-reading visibility under serious tournament-style play. For a home game room where atmosphere matters as much as visibility, the Laredo's warm-tone stained glass is the right answer. For a serious play room prioritizing court visibility, metal cone shades produce more directed light.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

What size pool table does the Laredo fit?

The 54-inch span is sized for 7-foot bar tables and 8-foot home pool tables. The three-shade distribution covers the playing surface evenly on these table sizes. For 9-foot regulation tables, a 78-inch four-light fixture is the proportional match.

What does rustic iron look like?

Rustic iron is a chemically aged dark iron finish with subtle texture — reads as hand-forged metalwork rather than polished factory finish. Different from oil-rubbed bronze (warmer, redder) and matte black (flat, neutral); rustic iron has more texture and a slightly grayer, more weathered character.

Is the stained glass real or printed?

Real stained glass. Each shade is colored glass cut and assembled into the pattern, not painted or printed on plain glass. Real stained glass holds its color permanently across decades; printed-glass shades fade under prolonged light exposure.

What's the right hanging height above the table?

30 to 36 inches above the playing surface — the BCA standard. With 3-foot chains and an 8-foot ceiling, the fixture lands in this range. Higher ceilings require longer chain runs to maintain the same mounting distance.

Are bulbs included?

No. The fixture accepts standard Edison-base bulbs up to 100W per socket. Warm-white LED bulbs (around 2700K) complement the warm color palette of the stained glass best.

How heavy is the fixture for installation?

37.5 lbs. Requires a chandelier-rated ceiling junction box attached to a structural joist — not drywall alone. The combined weight of the rustic iron bar and three stained glass shades is heavier than plain-metal billiard fixtures.
