Overview

RAM Game Room Swivel Game Chair tilt-and-swivel poker chair with adjustable height and arms.

The GCHR2 is built for serious poker — 360-degree swivel base, tilt mechanism, and telescopic seat height adjustment from 20 to 25 inches. The adjustable height is the difference between sitting at the wrong table height for five hours and sitting at the right height for five hours. Five-point rolling base on smooth caster wheels means the chair moves with the player rather than against them.

35 inches tall, 22 inches wide. Solid wood frame and arms with padded vinyl cushion and tilt function. Seat height adjusts from 20 to 25 inches via telescopic control. Available in six finishes: Antique White, Chestnut, Black, Cappuccino, English Tudor, and Slate — matching the RAM game-table line.

Construction

A chair designed for long poker sessions.

01360-Degree Swivel Base

The base swivels freely 360 degrees, so the player can shift to face different action without leaving the chair or repositioning. In long tournament-style sessions, this matters — leaving the chair to check stacks or chat with spectators interrupts focus.

02Tilt Mechanism

The seat tilts to provide back support during long sessions. Fixed-position chairs become uncomfortable after 2-3 hours of continuous play; tilt allows micro-adjustments that distribute body weight differently across hours.

03Telescopic Height Adjustment 20-25 in

Seat height adjusts from 20 inches to 25 inches via the integrated telescopic control. Different table heights and different player heights require different chair heights — fixed-height chairs force the player to compromise.

04Five-Point Rolling Base

Five caster wheels in a 360-degree base distribute weight evenly and roll smoothly across carpet and hardwood. Five-point bases are more stable than four-point bases and don't tip when the player leans forward.

05Solid Wood Arms and Frame

Arms and the supporting frame are solid wood — handles the weight load of arm-rest use across long sessions, takes the impact of being pushed in and out, and develops handling marks as patina rather than damage.

06Padded Vinyl Seat

Vinyl cushioning over foam padding — comfortable for extended sitting, cleanable with a damp cloth, and tolerant of the spills and dropped snacks of game-night use.

Buyer's Guide

When the swivel chair earns its premium over the dining chair.

The GCHR2 swivel chair runs at a higher price point than the GCHR3 armless dining chair — and for casual home use, the armless dining chair is the more pragmatic choice. The swivel chair earns its premium in specific use cases.

Long poker sessions (3+ hours of continuous play) are where the swivel-and-tilt mechanism matters. The ability to shift posture, swivel to engage with different players, and adjust seat height to relieve pressure points is the difference between finishing the session comfortable and finishing it stiff.

Multi-player tournament hosting is the other case for the swivel chair. If the room hosts dedicated poker nights with 6-8 players, the GCHR2 across all seats creates a uniform tournament-grade experience. For mixed-use rooms where the table doubles as a dining table, the GCHR3 armless chair is the more flexible choice.

The 20-25 inch seat height adjustment range covers most table heights and most player builds. Most poker tables sit at 30 inches; the chair's adjustable height puts the rail at the correct armrest level for players from roughly 5'5" to 6'4".

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

How does the height adjustment work?

An integrated telescopic control under the seat raises and lowers the seat height between 20 inches and 25 inches. The adjustment is smooth and locks at any point in the range.

Does it work on carpet?

Yes. The caster wheels are sized for both carpet and hardwood. On thick high-pile carpet, rolling resistance is higher — but the chair still moves freely with normal player movement.

Why a five-point base instead of four?

Five-point bases distribute weight more evenly and resist tipping when the player leans forward — a real concern in long poker sessions where players lean in to check cards or place bets. Four-point bases can tip under those conditions; five-point bases do not.

How does this differ from the Dining/Game Chair?

The GCHR3 is an armless fixed-position dining chair — simpler, lower price, slides under tables for storage. The GCHR2 is a full-feature swivel chair with arms, tilt, and adjustable height — built for serious poker rooms.

What's the maximum recommended weight?

The solid wood frame and five-point base support standard adult weight without issue. For exceptionally heavy users, the manufacturer specification should be confirmed prior to purchase.

Does it tilt and recline?

The seat tilts to relieve pressure across long sessions — it doesn't fully recline like an office chair. The tilt is calibrated for sitting upright with adjustable lean-back, not for reclining.
