The 45.5 in x 30 in playing surface is genuine slate — not engineered wood. Slate is quarried stone milled to a flat tolerance of ±0.01 in across the full surface. This flatness provides perfectly consistent ball roll from any starting position on the table — a standard that engineered wood surfaces approximate but never fully match.
02Bumper Pool Format
Bumper pool uses 10 balls (5 per player), 2 pockets (one at each short end), and a series of bumper posts on the playing surface that obstruct direct shots. The game is played on a smaller surface than standard billiards and uses 48-in cues. It is a distinct game with different strategy and skill requirements from 8-ball or 9-ball billiards.
03Black MDF Cabinet with Green Felt
Cabinet is black MDF at 54 in long — fits rooms too small for a 7-ft billiard table (which needs 200 in) in just 170 in of floor length with standard clearance. Green felt is the traditional bumper pool surface color.
04K-66 Rubber Cushions
K-66 profile cushions on a slate bed produce extremely consistent rebound angles. On a 30-in wide bumper pool surface with obstruction posts, cushion angle predictability is more important than on an open billiard surface — shots frequently require multi-cushion paths around bumpers.
05Quality Blended Felt
Blended wool and polyester felt covers the slate surface and rails. The felt on a slate table must be stretched precisely during installation — factory installation ensures the tension and seam placement are correct for consistent ball behavior.
06243 lb Assembled Weight
At 243 lb — including the weight of the slate bed — this table is a permanent installation. The slate alone accounts for approximately 80–100 lb of the total weight. Two people are required for all movement, and the table should be considered a fixed fixture in its installation room.
