King Kong: Myth of Terror Island Pinball Machine

Overview
Stern's King Kong: Myth of Terror Island reimagines the 1932-rooted King Kong narrative for pinball. Players join Ann Darrow, Jack Driscoll, and Karl Denham on the journey to Terror Island, resulting in Kong traveling back to New York City with characteristic disastrous (and entertaining) consequences.
The design team is the same creative group behind Stern's recent JAWS, Godzilla, and Jurassic Park releases. The cabinet's signature feature is a custom-sculpted animatronic King Kong that swings his arms and torso to assert dominance over the playfield through a new animatronic animation system.

Construction
The Pro is the standard production cabinet. The Premium adds enhanced Kong animatronic motion paths, additional cabinet effects, and upgraded armor. Both editions share rules and core gameplay.
The signature playfield feature is a custom-sculpted animatronic King Kong driven by Stern's new animatronic animation system. Kong swings his arms and torso reactively to player shots — the most mechanically expressive Stern feature in current production.
The creative team behind King Kong is the same group that produced Stern's JAWS, Godzilla, and Jurassic Park titles. The team's playfield design language is consistent across the four titles — operators running multiple titles see familiar geometry and shot logic.
Cabinet, translite, and playfield art carries the Terror Island visual identity — jungle and city environments threaded across the artwork to support the Kong-meets-New-York narrative.
The mode structure follows the original story arc: Terror Island exploration, Kong capture and transport, and finally the New York City rampage that delivers the title's wizard-tier finale.

Buyer's Guide
Pro versus Premium is the main purchase decision. The Pro is Stern's standard production cabinet with the base feature set. The Premium adds the title-specific mechanical features called out in the construction section and upgraded cabinet armor. Rules and core gameplay are identical between editions.
Limited Edition (LE) cabinets are produced in numbered runs and are not always available at retail. For operators or collectors who specifically need an LE, contact Game Room Empire for current allocation — LE pricing is not listed on this page.
Stern Insider Connected is included on all current Stern production. Operators running multiple Stern titles can manage all cabinets through a single operator portal — meaningful for routes and FECs running multi-title programs.
Standard Stern cabinet dimensions apply: 27 in W x 55 in D x 75.5 in H installed and 31 in x 31 in x 56 in shipping crate at 280 lb. Plan delivery accordingly.
