Overview

Halo Fireteam Raven, Two-Player Environmental a 55-inch panoramic display with the seat built into the machine.

The Environmental designation on this version describes a two-piece build. The main cabinet measures 48 inches deep by 58 inches wide by 86 inches high and weighs 1,025 pounds. A separate seat section measures 44 inches deep by 58 inches wide by 86 inches high and weighs 478 pounds. The seat is not a bench bolted to the front of a standard upright; it matches the cabinet in both width and height, and it carries the player position inside the machine so the distance and angle to the 55-inch panoramic display are set by the cabinet rather than by whoever walks up to it. The published installed location footprint is 99.9 inches high by 53.5 inches wide by 83.2 inches deep, and that height figure is the one that decides whether a given room can take the game.

Raw Thrills built the title with Play Mechanix and 343 Industries, and it renders at 4K on the Play Mechanix NexaGen arcade game engine. Two players enter the events of Halo: Combat Evolved as the ODST of Fireteam Raven, fighting the Covenant and the Flood on the surface of Alpha Halo alongside the Master Chief and the UNSC, with the full weapon arsenal of the Halo universe available in play. Players who want a session recorded generate a QR tag from the Halo Fireteam Raven Service Record and scan it at the cabinet before play, which posts stats and rewards to their Xbox Live account on Halo Waypoint. Power is approximately 120 VAC, 60 Hz, 5 amps on the USA and Canada ETL configuration, or approximately 230 VAC, 50 Hz, 2.5 amps on the international CE configuration. The item number is BETM 027148N.

Construction

What the Two-Crate Environmental Build Gives You

0155-Inch Panoramic Display

The game plays on a single 55-inch panoramic display running 4K graphics. Screen size alone tells you less on a seated cabinet than viewing distance does, and the seat section is what pins that distance down: every session starts with players at the same range from the panel, which is the range the 4K artwork was drawn to be read at.

02Play Mechanix NexaGen Engine

NexaGen is Play Mechanix's own arcade game engine, and here it drives the Covenant and Flood encounters and the Halo weapon set at 4K on the 55-inch panel. The engine and the game come from the same shop, which is why the 4K claim is attached to a specific platform rather than to the display alone.

031,025-Pound Main Cabinet

The main cabinet is 48 inches deep, 58 inches wide, 86 inches high, and weighs 1,025 pounds. That number is a siting question before it is a layout question: an upper floor, a mezzanine, or a raised platform has to accept 1,025 pounds concentrated on one footprint, and the same figure is what your receiving crew needs, since the cabinet ships crated at that weight.

04Full-Height 478-Pound Seat Section

The seat section stands 86 inches tall and 58 inches wide, the same height and width as the cabinet, at a depth of 44 inches and a weight of 478 pounds. Because it is a full-height section rather than a stool, the two pieces close into one enclosure on assembly, and because it is crated separately at 478 pounds, it can be brought in and set independently of the 1,025-pound cabinet.

05ETL and CE Power Configurations

North American units are ETL at approximately 120 VAC, 60 Hz, 5 amps. International units are CE at approximately 230 VAC, 50 Hz, 2.5 amps, the same draw at double the voltage. Five amps sits well inside a standard 15-amp branch circuit, so placement is usually decided by where the receptacle is, not by what the circuit can carry.

06Xbox Live Login by QR Tag

A player visits the Halo Fireteam Raven Service Record, generates a QR tag for their Xbox Live account, and scans it at the cabinet before the play session begins. Stats and rewards from that session are then claimed back on Halo Waypoint. For an operator, that account link is the reason a regular comes back to this cabinet specifically rather than to any 4K shooter on the floor.

Buyer's Guide

How to Judge Whether This Cabinet Fits Your Room

Start at the ceiling. The published location height is 99.9 inches, which is 8 feet 3.9 inches, and it sits almost 14 inches above the 86-inch height of the cabinet and seat. A room finished with a flat 96-inch ceiling does not clear the published envelope. Measure to the lowest thing hanging over the spot you intend to use rather than to the deck, because sprinkler heads and duct runs are what usually take those inches away.

Then measure the path in. Both crates stand 86 inches tall, so neither passes upright through an 80-inch door frame, and they are 48 inches and 44 inches wide at 58 inches deep. Because the game arrives as two crates instead of one, the heaviest single piece anyone handles is 1,025 pounds rather than the 1,503-pound combined weight, and the 478-pound seat section moves on its own trip. Check corners, stair landings, and elevator openings against 58 inches of crate depth, since depth is the dimension that binds in a turn, not width.

Power is undemanding on either configuration. The ETL build asks for approximately 120 VAC, 60 Hz, 5 amps; the CE build asks for approximately 230 VAC, 50 Hz, 2.5 amps. Against the 15-amp and 20-amp circuits in most game rooms and route locations, a 5-amp draw leaves plenty of headroom, so the question worth settling before delivery is how far the intended cabinet position sits from a receptacle and what else is already on that circuit.

The format itself is the last call to make. An environmental cabinet encloses the play position: the seat belongs to the machine, the sightline to the 55-inch panel is fixed by geometry, and the cost of that control is 1,503 pounds inside a 99.9 by 53.5 by 83.2-inch published envelope. A tethered or standard upright puts players on their feet in front of the game, takes less floor and less ceiling, and gives up the fixed seated view. If your floor plan can spare the space and the height, this is the build that holds two players through a full session. If it cannot, reconsider the format before you reconsider the game.

FAQ

Questions Buyers Ask About This Cabinet

What does "Environmental" mean on this version of Halo Fireteam Raven?

It describes the cabinet format. The game is built in two pieces: a main cabinet at 48 inches deep by 58 inches wide by 86 inches high and 1,025 pounds, and a seat section at 44 inches deep by 58 inches wide by 86 inches high and 478 pounds. The seat section matches the cabinet in width and height, so on assembly it forms part of the machine and sets a fixed player position in front of the 55-inch panoramic display. The location footprint published for the assembled game is 99.9 inches high by 53.5 inches wide by 83.2 inches deep.

What ceiling height and floor area does it need?

Plan against the published location footprint of 99.9 inches high by 53.5 inches wide by 83.2 inches deep. The cabinet and the seat section are each 86 inches tall, so the 99.9-inch figure is the clearance number, and it is higher than a standard 96-inch ceiling. Measure to the lowest obstruction over the intended position rather than to the ceiling itself.

How many crates does it ship in, and what do they weigh?

Two. Crate 1 is 48 inches wide, 58 inches deep, and 86 inches high at 1,025 pounds. Crate 2 is 44 inches wide, 58 inches deep, and 86 inches high at 478 pounds. Combined shipping weight is 1,503 pounds. Both crates stand 86 inches tall, taller than an 80-inch door opening, so measure the receiving path before delivery day.

What electrical service does the cabinet require?

Two configurations are published. USA and Canada units are ETL rated at approximately 120 VAC, 60 Hz, 5 amps. International units are CE rated at approximately 230 VAC, 50 Hz, 2.5 amps. A 5-amp draw at 120 volts leaves substantial headroom on a standard 15-amp branch circuit.

Can players keep their stats after they walk away from the machine?

Yes, through an Xbox Live account and Halo Waypoint. The player visits the Halo Fireteam Raven Service Record, generates a QR tag for their account, scans that tag at the cabinet before the play session begins, then returns to Halo Waypoint to view stats and claim rewards.

What does the warranty cover?

One (1) year on game electronics, meaning the computer, the monitor PCB, and the electronic PCBs, plus ninety (90) days on all other game components. Both periods run from the date of purchase. Betson Imperial is a Raw Thrills factory-authorized service center and honors the warranty; warranty parts and repairs are processed through Betson by advance replacement or an RMA.
