Hathaway Center Stage Pro Series 59-in Foosball Table - Telescopic Safety Rods
Shipping & Delivery
Overview
The Center Stage Pro is the largest and heaviest foosball table in Hathaway's residential lineup, built to a 59 in cabinet at 176 lb assembled. The defining specification is telescopic safety rods — rods that retract on backswing rather than protrude through the cabinet. At 59 in, the table also has the longest playfield in the lineup at 49.5 in L x 27 in W x 0.59 in thick (15 mm). Cabinet is MDF in light oak, black, and green finish at 59 in L x 29.5 in W x 35.5 in H.
Chrome-plated steel rods with EZ-Spin bearings. Counter-balanced ABS players, ABS ergonomic handles. Ladder-style dual pedestal legs. Manual scoring. Ships LTL in a single 227 lb carton. Assembly approximately 80 minutes; two-person recommended. Includes 2 foosballs (34 mm). 180-day limited warranty. Rated for ages 10 and up.
Construction
Telescopic rods consist of an outer and inner shaft. On the backswing, the inner shaft slides into the outer shaft, keeping the rod tip within the cabinet footprint at all times. Standard through-rods protrude 10–15 in beyond the cabinet during play; telescopic rods eliminate this protrusion entirely, which is the primary safety and space advantage at this cabinet length.
The 59 in cabinet requires approximately 107 in of floor length with 24 in player clearance at each end. At 49.5 in long, the playfield provides 3 in more shooting distance than the standard 46-in surface — the additional length produces more midfield action and longer rallies than shorter-field tables.
The 49.5 in x 27 in playfield is 0.59 in (15 mm) thick — a tournament-grade surface depth that resists flex under any residential play loading scenario and matches international professional foosball table specifications for surface consistency.
The base uses a ladder-style dual pedestal configuration. Ladder geometry connects two vertical stanchions with horizontal rungs — providing a wider lateral footprint than single-post or L-leg designs and distributing the 176 lb cabinet weight across a larger floor contact area.
The 3-goalie configuration on the goalkeeper rod eliminates the dead-zone shot angle and meets competitive play format standards. Counter-balanced ABS players return to horizontal between shots on all rod positions.
All rods run through EZ-Spin bearings. At 59 in cabinet width, each rod spans a greater distance than on shorter tables — EZ-Spin bearings at each end prevent the lateral wobble that develops in longer unsupported rod spans during aggressive play.
Buyer's Guide
Standard through-rods on a foosball table protrude 10–15 in beyond the cabinet on the backswing. In a game room where the table is positioned with walls or furniture within 18 in of the short ends, these protruding rods are a consistent impact hazard and a bruising risk for players and bystanders. Telescopic rods eliminate the protrusion by collapsing the inner shaft into the outer shaft during the backswing. The trade-off is that telescopic rods are heavier than hollow through-rods at the same diameter, which slightly increases rotational inertia. For a game room where space or safety around the short ends is a constraint, the trade is favorable.
The Center Stage Pro at 176 lb and 59 in is the largest table in the Hathaway lineup. This is a permanent installation — it will require two people to move and should be positioned in its final location before assembly. The 227 lb shipping weight at LTL freight means a delivery appointment is required; ensure ground-level access and a clear path from the delivery point to the installation location before scheduling.
