Hathaway Crestline 12-ft Outdoor Shuffleboard Table - White
Shipping & Delivery
Overview
The Crestline is the only outdoor-rated shuffleboard table in Hathaway's lineup, built from high-density fiberboard (HDF) with a 6-mm aluminum frame — the same material combination used in the Alpine outdoor pool table. The 140 in L x 25 in W playing surface is 2 in thick composite weatherproof material coated with a "smooth glide" finish rated for outdoor temperature and humidity cycling. Cabinet dimensions are 144 in L x 29 in W x 31 in H at 277.83 lb. White cabinet with blue-cloth side rails.
Abacus scorers and fitted table cover included. Ships LTL in a single 374 lb carton. Assembly approximately 30 minutes. Includes regulation puck set (4 blue, 4 red, 2-5/16-in diameter), surface wax, and fitted table cover. 1-year limited warranty — double the 180-day indoor coverage. Rated for ages 3 and up.
Construction
HDF is denser than standard MDF — approximately 800–900 kg/m³ versus 650–750 kg/m³. Higher density reduces moisture infiltration at panel edges under outdoor exposure. All HDF surfaces are sealed to prevent the absorption and swelling that destroys standard MDF panels in outdoor conditions.
A 6-mm thick aluminum frame surrounds the cabinet perimeter. Aluminum does not corrode under outdoor UV and precipitation exposure — the failure mode that eliminates standard steel hardware from outdoor installations within 2–3 seasons. The frame also adds rigidity to the cabinet profile under the temperature cycling that causes composite wood panels to expand and contract.
The 140-in x 25-in playing surface is 2 in thick composite material — the thickest playfield in Hathaway's entire shuffleboard lineup. The 2-in depth provides the mass and rigidity needed to maintain flatness under the outdoor moisture and temperature cycling that causes thinner surfaces to bow over months of exposure.
Deluxe abacus scorers are mounted at each end — a mechanical scoring system that does not require electronics, batteries, or power and is not affected by weather. Abacus scoring is the standard on outdoor and pub shuffleboard tables precisely because it requires no maintenance and functions in any temperature.
A fitted table cover is included — not an optional accessory. Outdoor shuffleboard tables should be covered between sessions to protect the playing surface from UV fading and debris accumulation. The included cover eliminates the need for a separate cover purchase.
Includes 2-5/16-in pucks — larger than the standard 2.125-in pucks included with indoor tables. The 2-5/16-in size is the regulation outdoor shuffleboard puck diameter, matching the wider 25-in playing surface geometry.
Buyer's Guide
Standard indoor shuffleboard tables cannot be used outdoors. The butcher block and birchwood veneer surfaces on the Challenger and Merlot series will warp and delaminate under outdoor moisture within one season. Standard MDF cabinets will absorb precipitation and fail within the same period. The Crestline addresses every outdoor exposure point: HDF cabinet, aluminum frame hardware, weatherproof composite surface, and a fitted cover included from the factory.
The 1-year warranty on the Crestline is double the 180-day standard on all indoor models — the same extended coverage used on the Alpine outdoor pool table and Highlander outdoor foosball table, reflecting the higher material cost of outdoor construction. At $2,399.99, the Crestline is the most expensive shuffleboard table in the lineup. Room — or patio/deck — requirement: 144-in table (12 ft) plus 2 ft at each end equals approximately 16 ft of deck length. The 29-in wide cabinet plus player clearance requires approximately 8 ft of lateral space.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can an indoor shuffleboard table be used outside?
No — standard butcher block, veneer, and MDF surfaces will warp and delaminate under outdoor moisture within one season. The Crestline uses HDF and weatherproof composite materials specifically rated for outdoor use.
Why does this have a 1-year warranty instead of 180 days?
1-year warranty reflects the higher material cost of outdoor construction and the manufacturer's confidence in its outdoor durability — same extended coverage as the Alpine outdoor pool table.
Is a cover included?
Yes — a fitted table cover is included in the box.
What puck size does this use?
2-5/16-in regulation outdoor shuffleboard pucks (4 blue, 4 red included).
Does this ship by freight or parcel?
LTL freight — single box, 374 lb. Requires a receiving signature and ground-level patio or deck access.
What deck/patio length is required?
144-in table (12 ft) plus 2 ft of standing clearance at each end — approximately 16 ft of deck length minimum.
