Overview

Hathaway 54-in Foosball Table Cover fitted leatherette, reinforced seams, soft cotton underlining.

This fitted table cover is designed for most 54-in foosball tables with a 29-in W x 5-in drop profile. Material is lightweight, rip-resistant synthetic leather (PVC leatherette) with a soft cotton lining on the underside. The cotton lining protects the rod ends, handles, and table edge rail from abrasion during installation and removal. Weight is 1.25 lb. Ships small parcel in a single 1.7 lb carton.

The scalloped edge design at the drop allows the cover to clear the rod handles on all sides without catching during installation. Reinforced seams at stress points prevent fraying under repeated on/off cycles. Wrinkle-free fabric surface wipes clean. No warranty. Rated for ages 3 and up.

01Rip-Resistant PVC Leatherette Exterior

The outer surface is lightweight, rip-resistant synthetic leather — wrinkle-free and cleanable with a damp cloth. PVC leatherette outlasts comparable vinyl covers because it resists cracking at temperature extremes common in unconditioned basements.

02Soft Cotton Underlining

The underside is soft cotton. Cotton lining prevents the cover from scratching the rod handles and table edge during installation. It also holds the cover in position by increasing friction against the table surface.

03Reinforced Seams

Seams at the drop corners and edge perimeter are reinforced to resist fraying. Corner seams bear the highest stress during installation over protruding rod handles; reinforcing them at the factory extends cover life beyond what standard single-stitch seams provide.

04Scalloped Edge Design

The scalloped cut at the bottom edge allows the 5-in drop to clear the rod handles on the cabinet sides during installation. Without scalloping, a flush-cut edge must be forced over the handle endpoints each time the cover is removed.

05Fitted 54-in x 29-in Profile

Cover dimensions are 54 in L x 29 in W x 5 in drop — sized for most 54-in foosball tables in this width class. The fitted profile prevents the cover from shifting on the table surface between game sessions.

A foosball table cover serves two functions: keeping dust and spills off the playfield between sessions, and protecting the rod handles from drying out under direct sunlight or in low-humidity environments. The cover needs to fit the specific cabinet dimensions — a loose cover bunches and still allows dust infiltration; a cover with too tight a drop tears at the scalloped edge corners after repeated use. This cover is sized for the 54-in x 29-in profile common across Hathaway's BG1033 and BG4033 series tables.

The cotton lining distinction matters for tables with wood or ABS handles. A cover without lining — bare PVC on the inside — abrades handle surfaces over time, dulling finish and creating rough edges that affect grip feel. Cotton lining prevents this contact abrasion entirely. At 1.25 lb, the cover adds negligible weight to the table and stores in a drawer when not in use.
