Hathaway Triple Threat 6-ft Air Hockey 3-in-1 Rotating Multi-Game Table and Cabinet
Shipping & Delivery
Overview
The Triple Threat is a 6-ft rotating multi-game table where the entire playing surface rotates 360° on a central axis to switch between air hockey and billiards configurations — a fundamentally different conversion mechanism than the lift-off top method used on most multi-game tables. The table tennis top is a separate removable panel that installs over either surface. Cabinet is MDF and plastic at 71.75 in L x 36 in W x 32 in H, assembled weight 194 lb. Air hockey playfield is 56.5 in L x 32 in W at 0.75-in thick; billiard playfield is 54.5 in L x 30 in W at 1.25-in thick.
Ships LTL in a single 224 lb carton. Assembly approximately 30 minutes. Complete accessories for all three games included. 180-day limited warranty. Rated for ages 4 and up.
Construction
The playing surface rotates on a central axle — billiards surface face-up for pool, air hockey surface face-up for air hockey. No lifting, no separate top storage. The rotation locks into each position with a built-in lock mechanism that prevents the surface from shifting during play. Conversion takes approximately 30 seconds.
The billiard surface is 1.25 in thick — thicker than the 0.625-in pool surfaces on most combo tables and closer to the 1.5-in standard of dedicated pool tables. L-shaped gum rubber cushions on the billiard side reduce noise and provide consistent ball rebound. Rubber drop pockets quiet ball landing at the pockets during play.
The 56.5-in x 32-in air hockey surface has a built-in blower and perforated playing field. The 32-in width is wider than standard 42-in air hockey tables, providing more lateral playing space and changing the puck deflection geometry at the rails.
The table tennis top removes and stores separately. At 69 in long (two pieces), the table tennis top converts the full 71.75-in cabinet surface to a table tennis surface. Net and post set included for immediate play.
Sturdy post-style legs support the 194-lb cabinet and rotation mechanism. At 194 lb, the Triple Threat is a permanent installation — two people are required for any repositioning after initial setup.
Full billiard kit (2-in balls, 48-in cues, chalk, triangle, brush), air hockey pucks and strikers, and table tennis paddles, balls, and net are all included — no separate purchases needed to start playing all three games immediately.
Buyer's Guide
Most multi-game tables use removable surface tops — one surface replaces another, requiring a place to store the displaced top. The Triple Threat's rotating mechanism stores both the air hockey and billiard surfaces within the cabinet body simultaneously — no top to store. This is a fundamental structural advantage for frequent game-switching: the conversion between air hockey and billiards takes 30 seconds and requires no lifting. On a table that is used for both games in the same session, this convenience is the primary purchase criterion.
At 194 lb and LTL freight delivery, the Triple Threat is a serious game room investment — appropriate for a household that actively plays all three game types and wants professional-grade switching convenience. At $899.99 versus the $189.99 Triad (BG1131M, pool/glide hockey/table tennis tabletop format), the Triple Threat costs $710 more and delivers: rotating conversion, air hockey with blower (versus no air hockey on the Triad), and a 1.25-in billiard surface (versus 0.375 in on the Triad). Does this have a real air blower?
Yes — a built-in blower powers the air hockey surface.
How thick is the billiard surface?
1.25 in — thicker than most combo table billiard surfaces and closer to dedicated pool table specifications.
Does this ship by freight or parcel?
LTL freight — 224 lb. Requires a receiving signature and ground-level access.
What is the warranty term?
180-day limited warranty covering defects in workmanship and materials under normal residential use.
