Overview
The Winchester Driftwood is a wall-mount dartboard cabinet with a driftwood melamine finish — the same finish used across Hathaway's farmhouse-style game room furniture. Cabinet is engineered wood MDF at 19.75 in H x 19.75 in W x 3.75 in D, assembled weight 24.25 lb. The included 18-in sisal bristle dartboard is regulation-sized with a staple-free bullseye and a moveable number ring for wear distribution.
Two dry erase scoreboards are mounted on the interior door panels with integrated dart holders below each. Ships small parcel in a single 27.34 lb carton. Assembly approximately 20 minutes. Includes 6 steel-tip darts, 2 dry erase scoreboards, 2 dart holders, mounting hardware, and game rules. 180-day limited warranty. Rated for ages 10 and up.
Construction
The MDF cabinet carries a durable melamine coating in a driftwood finish. Melamine resists cracking and scratching better than painted MDF under the door-opening friction and occasional dart contact that a cabinet sees in regular use.
At 19.75 in square and 3.75 in deep, this is one of the more compact cabinet profiles in Hathaway's dartboard lineup. It requires a 19.75 in square wall section — achievable on most standard 16 in on-center stud walls with a single stud anchor at center.
Regulation 18-in sisal board with a staple-free bullseye construction. Removing staples from the center eliminates the metal protrusions that cause bounce-outs when dart tips contact the bullseye area at low angles.
The number ring detaches and rotates to redistribute wear. Concentrating too many throws in the 20 segment over months of play creates visible fiber wear; rotating the ring moves a fresh section into that position and extends overall board life.
Two dry erase boards are mounted on the interior cabinet door faces. Dry erase wipes clean between rounds without chalk dust — a practical advantage in rooms where chalk residue on nearby furniture or floors is a concern.
Two dart holders are mounted below each scoreboard on the interior door panels, keeping darts at arm's reach from the throwing position without a separate surface to store them on.
Buyer's Guide
The Winchester Driftwood (BG1044-DWD) and Winchester Black (BG1044) are identical in cabinet dimensions (19.75 in x 19.75 in x 3.75 in), weight (24.25 lb), board specification (18-in sisal, staple-free bullseye), and included accessories (6 steel-tip darts, 2 dry erase scoreboards, 2 dart holders, mounting hardware). The only difference is the cabinet exterior finish — driftwood melamine versus flat black.
Choose driftwood for rooms with natural wood tones, light-colored walls, or farmhouse and coastal aesthetics. Choose black for rooms with dark walls, industrial design, or where the cabinet needs to recede visually against a dark backdrop. At $109.99 MSRP, both sit between the entry-level Winchester and the Centerpoint (BG1041CH, $129.99) which upgrades to a solid poplar wood cabinet construction.
