MotoGP VR carries the official MotoGP licence from Dorna Sports, and Raw Thrills built it around a 360-degree virtual reality view rather than a fixed forward camera. With the HP Reverb G2 headset on, the rider can turn into a corner or look across at the bike alongside, which is how a motorcycle is actually raced. The same cabinet also plays on its 42-inch HD display with the headset off, so a location is not choosing between a VR attraction and a machine that earns when the headset is charging, being cleaned, or out for repair.

The player sits on an authentic MotoGP motorcycle, offered in four colors, on a cabinet that stands 96 inches tall, 43 inches wide and 83 inches deep and weighs 1,041 pounds installed. Ten international MotoGP circuits, 12 remodeled bikes and a roster that includes Fabio Quartararo and Marc Marquez run across three difficulty settings (Novice, Normal and Pro). Up to eight cabinets link for a single competitive race, and CoinUp online connectivity is built in. Power draw is 6 A at 120V / 60Hz, or 3 A at 230V / 50Hz.

Start with the ceiling. Installed height is 96 inches, which is exactly eight feet, so a room with a nominal eight-foot ceiling has no clearance at all once you count floor covering, a soffit, a sprinkler head or a ceiling fan. Nine-foot ceilings leave the machine comfortable and give a technician room to work above the header. This one figure disqualifies a lot of finished basements and low-ceiling game rooms before any other spec matters.

Then measure floor space against 43 inches wide by 83 inches deep. The depth is what buyers misjudge: nearly seven feet front to back means the cabinet either backs onto a wall with the rider approaching from the side, or it stands in the open and needs clearance on both ends. At 1,041 pounds installed, it is not a machine you slide across a floor to try a second position, so decide the location before delivery day.

Receiving is a two-pallet job. The main cabinet pallet measures 48 inches wide, 33 inches deep and 83 inches high at 446 pounds; the seat pallet measures 40 inches wide, 70 inches deep and 49 inches high at 595 pounds. Compare those numbers with your doors, not with the assembled 43-inch width: a standard 36-inch doorway will pass the main pallet on its 33-inch face, but the seat pallet is 40 inches across its narrowest side and has to come off the pallet or through a wider opening. Both pieces need a pallet jack and a hard, level path from the truck.

Electrical is straightforward for one cabinet and worth planning for several. Each machine draws 6 A at 120V / 60Hz, or 3 A at 230V / 50Hz for locations outside North America. A single cabinet sits easily on a 15-amp circuit. Eight linked cabinets draw 48 A at 120 V, which is three 20-amp circuits at a normal 80 percent load allowance, before anything else in the room is counted. Route the link cabling and the branch circuits together while the floor plan is still on paper.
